National Governing Bodies of Sport
The Sussex CSP is funded by Sport England to help support the delivery of the local interventions of National Governing Body (NGB) Whole Sport Plans and to support the achievement of NGB and Sport England targets. Liaison with NGBs is either on a national, regional, county or cluster basis.
Sussex CSP provides the following cross-sport services for all Sport England funded NGBs, subject to agreement:
- Connecting NGBs to the local area and local partners
- Club, Coach and volunteer development
- Children and young people (brokering partnerships and managing various programmes)
- Facility development
- Attracting external investment
Sussex National Governing Body Forum
The Sussex NGB Forum is chaired by the CSP and met for the first time in July 2008. It is for County or Regional NGB Development Officers or their County Association representative to, share best practice, discuss generic issues and to work together to add value.
