Sussex CSP Sports Photo of the Year

We are delighted to announce the winner of the first Sussex CSP Photo of the Year Competition supported by Park Cameras. With over 75 images received, the judges had the tough task of choosing the winning shot from an outstanding collection of images.
One of our judges, professional sports photographer Glyn Kirk commented, ‘I was impressed by the high standard of photos submitted overall, - there are clearly some budding sports photographers in Sussex to watch out for!’. For Glyn’s top tips on capturing that winning sport photo click here.

Park Cameras have generously provided prizes for our top three winners, including a £100 voucher for the winner and two £20 vouchers for each of the runners up. Plus a beautiful canvas print of the top three images will be presented to the winning photographers at Park Cameras modern, new premises in Burgess Hill. Our congratulations go to Angela Brinkhurst who took the winning shot. Her photo of the Brighton Youth Team celebrating the winning goal against Gillingham was judged to best capture the spirit and essence of sport whilst also meeting other technical criteria of the competition.

Special acknowledgement goes to our runners up, Charlie Crowhurst and Sally Page who also caught some excellent sporting moments on camera.

Glyn Kirk - Professional Sports Photographer

Widely respected Professional Sports Photographer, Glyn Kirk has covered, 6 Olympic games, 16 Wimbledons, 11 Open Golf Championships and just about everything else in his 18 years as a professional. Has had his work published worldwide and has worked for various International agencies including Action Plus, Press Association, Back Page Images and Associated Press. Currently freelances for Agence-France Presse.
