Get Active - Swim

Did you know:

Being able to swim 400 metres continuously means you can:

  • scuba dive
  • snorkel
  • become a lifeguard
  • compete in triathlons
  • play water polo
  • be on a swim team
  • teach swimming

and much more!

Swim4Life

Swim4Life is part of the Change4Life campaign, and aims to get people to lead more active, healthy lives. Being able to swim is a really valuable skill - and one that can provide a lot of fun, and a lifetime of health and fitness.

In April the Government introduced a new initiative where people aged 60 and over and those aged 16 and under were able to swim for free. A number of swimming pools in Sussex are taking part, with some offering free swimming for just over 60s and some under 16s as well.  Click on the links below to find out more about where you can swim for free.
