The Choi Foundation

The Choi Foundation offers a friendly and non-competitive environment, in Brighton and Hove, for the study of the world’s fastest growing martial arts fitness programme, Choi Kwang Do. Choi is a dynamic and innovative approach to martial arts training. Our classes provide a safe and welcoming setting to enable our students to grow physically, mentally and spiritually. Choi  is a non-contact martial art yet still harnesses the principles of modern science to produce fast, powerful and fluent techniques.

Our school is open to everyone regardless of age, gender, size or physical limitation. We offer so much more than self defence training, combining fun with exercise and challenge to provide a programme that will inspire you to a more confident and healthier lifestyle. We want you to love Choi as much as we do, so to help you appreciate what it’s all about, we’re offering two weeks of training plus a Dobok (uniform) for only £19. This will give you up to 10 classes to train with us and start to feel the benefits of Choi.

Classes are held in BRIGHTON & HOVE at the following locations:

Dorothy Stringer Sports Complex, Brighton
Saturday mornings and Tuesday and Thursday evenings

The Mid Sussex Martial Arts School (Tenshin Kan Dojo)

As it enter its 3rd decade of training The Mid Sussex Martial Arts School (MSMAS), is probably now one of the oldest and most traditional mixed Martial Arts Centres still in operation in the UK today. The Mid Sussex Martial Arts School was originally founded in the late 1980’s as a ‘not for profit’ Mixed Martial Arts School, and is still located just outside of Haywards Heath.

Regular Sessions of Judo, Traditional Aikido, Iaido & Kendo are held throughout the week, also at weekends. All ages and abilities are most welcome to try a FREE, ‘no obligation’ Trial Session to experience any of the Martial Arts.

The School has both a full ‘Child Protection’ & ‘Equity Policy’ in place, plus two appointed Welfare Officers, as approved Leisure Provider to the West Sussex County Council Children & Young People’s Services, plus the Judo operates within the British Judo Association. MSMAS Judo has already received the prestigious “Sport England” ClubMark Bronze Award from the British Judo Association for excellence and operates a ‘FREE Judo Programme’ for all Juniors and Youth Members, backed by the Tenshin Kan Youth Foundation based at MSMAS.
