Exercise, Movement and Dance

EMDP

EMDP is the lead National Governing Body (NGB) for exercise, movement and dance.  It is a not for profit organization dedicated to the development of exercise, movement and dance provision throughout England.  EMDP’s vision is to have ‘More people enjoying health and well-being through exercise, movement and dance - for life’.

EMDP is an umbrella body for exercise, movement and dance (EMD). It works with EMD organisations to develop their specific individual disciplines and carries out developments across the whole EMD in regards to partnership working, quality assurance and Teacher and Participant satisfaction and growth.

Local Info

EMDP member organisations have regular events taking place in Sussex that are open to EMD Teachers, participants and interested members of the public. Events on offer vary between month and season but range from Dance Rally’s, to Teacher Continuous Professional Development opportunities.  These member organisation experiences offer great ways to keep fit, be social and have fun at the same time!  Details of local events in Sussex can be found at www.emdp.org.

Get Moving, Get Healthy, Have fun!

The beauty of exercise, movement and dance is that it is open to all. The nature of the activity removes age and ability barriers and gives everyone the opportunity to get moving and enjoy the benefits of being more physically active. The rules are, there are no rules. If you are able to move, you can give it a go!
