We are delighted to announce the winner of the first Sussex CSP Photo of the Year Competition supported by Park Cameras. Our congratulations go to Angela Brinkhurst who took the winning shot. Her photo of the Brighton Youth Team celebrating the winning goal against Gillingham on 17 January 2009 was judged to best capture the spirit of sport. Runners up were Charlie Crowhurst and Sally Page who’s images you can view in our flickr photostream.
With over 75 images received, the judges had the tough task of choosing the winning shot from an outstanding collection of images. One judge, professional sports photographer Glyn Kirk, commented ‘I was impressed by the high standard of photos submitted, there are clearly some budding sports photographers in Sussex to watch out for!’.
Park Cameras have generously provided prizes for our top three winners, including a £100 voucher for the winner and two £20 vouchers for each of the runners up. Plus a beautiful canvas print of the top three images will be presented at the Park Cameras modern, new premises in Burgess Hill.
